Monday Manicure - Maybelline Candy Apple

Hi everyone!

I was going to make the Monday Manicure a weekly fixture but a couple of days after I took the pictures of this manicure, I had an incident with a door and ended up breaking four of the nails on my left hand. It was absolutely heart breaking! I've only had long nails recently, having stopped biting my nails at the end of November, so having four of them break, and some of them are so short they look ridiculous again, was an incredibly upsetting experience. I know they are only nails, but as an ex-biter, they are precious too me.

Anyway, I thought I would still post this post so this week I was wearing Maybelline's Colour Show Nail Lacquer in 15 Candy Apple.

Review - MUA Blusher in Shade 4

MUA is such an amazing brand in my opinion. They deliver fantastic products at really cheap prices. Before I started to read blogs I tended to steer clear of this make as I thought they would be really bad quality but I was wrong! I know the brand itself has had some trouble with customer service but I never order make-up online if I can get it in store so I have not experienced this.

Today I have a blusher from MUA to review for you.

February Beauty Haul

I know I said that posts should be more regular now, but I have had a busy few days with Uni and then I went home for the weekend for Mothers Day but I am back now and hopefully things will be a bit more regular around here!

I have done quite a lot of shopping in the past month - it's quite eye opening doing a monthly haul post because you forget what you've already bought otherwise. This makes me realise I need to cut down a bit as I am fully reliant on my student loan and have no regular income. Ah well! On to what I bought!

Review of the Nails Inc Mayfair Hand Lotion

So everything should hopefully be back on track now! Sorry for the huge gap in updates, I explained in my last post but it's all sorted now :) Just as a little sneak peak, the next two posts will be hauls! One of them is the promised Primark haul, the other is another beauty haul of everything I bought in the past month (a ridiculous amount).

On to the review, which is a fairly quick one! You may remember me mentioning in my last haul post about the absolute bargain I found in Poundland - the Nails Inc hand cream!

Review of the MUA Professional Pro-Brow Ultimate Eyebrow Kit

I have another MUA product to review for you here! I am really loving this brand at the moment, they are perfect for students who have a little loan that needs to go a long way.

I remember reading about the HD Brows kit a long time ago and it was really popular over summer, especially when it was included in several beauty boxes. I've never really been fussed about my brows - I used to let them do what they wanted as I am a wimp and hated causing myself pain by plucking them. I was fine getting someone else to wax them but it has taken me years to get used to plucking them. But then comes another problem - when you accidently pluck the wrong hair and have random bald spots in your brows! So, I invested in a brow kit.

Review of two Natural Collection Lipsticks

My aim for 2013 is to get in to more lip products. I have plenty of lip balms - about 4 on average in my handbag at a time - but other than freebies, I have never gone out and brought anything. I think it's because I don't like my teeth - they aren't hideous, but they aren't pearly white and I feel like any lip colour I wear will draw attention to that. But, I brought some teeth whiteners, which seem to be working, and thought I would buy some lip sticks!

On the left is the Moisture Shine Lipstick in Berry Sorbet. On the right is the Sheer Natural Lip Colour in Sand Castle.

Review of the MUA Bronzer in Shade 3

If you read my post on my previous foray into bronzers (17's Instant Glow Bronzing Powder in Light), you would know that it left me sorely disappointed. After seeing Oh So Flawless's post on Bronzers I asked for her advice and she led me to MUA. Although she did recommend the mosaic bronzer, I went for the normal one instead as I mainly wanted it for contouring.

This is a really nice light bronze and is the perfect colour for adding a healthy glow to my face, and for contouring as well. It is really blendable and you can build it up if you want a more harsh line for contouring. It lasts a long time as well! I haven't used it on a night out so I don't know how it will last under that, but it does last all day when I am at Uni.
